Yesterday’s adventure was about sparkle and spinning. My three-year-old niece, picked the game. She didn’t even say the name — just pointed to the pink box and gave a look that said, Yes. This is what we are doing.

Pretty Pretty Princess is like opening a tiny treasure chest disguised as a board game. The minute we lifted the lid, Karma gasped. There were rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets in bright, shiny colors. But best of all? A crown.

The goal is simple: spin the spinner, move around the board, and collect your royal jewelry set — piece by piece. There’s a little suspense in every turn. Will you get the earring you need? Will someone take the necklace you just won?

We didn’t worry much about winning. It was all about becoming a princess — one sparkly item at a time. Karma liked the blue set best. She said it matched the sky outside. I ended up with purple, which apparently is the color of “thinking.” We wore the earrings crooked and the rings on the wrong fingers, and we didn’t mind one bit.

There’s something special about a game that invites you to dress up, laugh through the rules, and admire your reflection in the plastic jewel of a pretend necklace. Pretty Pretty Princess is simple, but to a little one, it’s a magical transformation machine.

By the end, Karma stood up tall, all decked out in her full set, and announced, “I’m a real princess now.” And you know what? She absolutely was.
