Let’s Talk Swag: What Do You Love to Bring Home from a Conference?

Oh, friends, I’ve got something shiny on my mind, it’s not the glitter in my dice tray. I’m heading to a conference soon, and my bag is already halfway full with snacks, business cards, and just a bit of nervous excitement. But the real question is: what kind of swag should I bring to share?

You know the kind I mean. Those little treasures you pick up at booths, slide into your tote, and somehow can’t bear to part with. The stickers that live on your water bottle. The enamel pin you proudly attach to your game bag. The mini notebook you didn’t know you needed until you were scribbling down your latest board game idea during a keynote.

So tell me: what kind of swag do you actually love? Unexpected? Something you actually keep, or something you immediately hand off to a friend like a traveling talisman?

Here are a few ideas swirling in my brain:

  • Stickers? Of course. But what kind of stickers?
  • Buttons or pins? Tiny, wearable flair?
  • Notebooks? Tiny zines? Game prompts?
  • Dice? (Okay, that’s a trick question. Of course it’s dice.)

If you’ve ever walked away from a conference or game event thinking “Oh wow, I love this,” I want to hear about it. Bonus points if you tell me about something weird, wonderful, or surprisingly practical.

Drop your thoughts in the comments or message me—I’d love to pack a little piece of you with me when I go. May your tote bags be ever full and your swag always spark joy!
