Cover Your Assets was ingeniously created by Brent Beck, who is known for his knack for designing engaging and family-friendly games under the Grandpa Beck’s Games label. This game is perfect for parties with family or friends.  It is just as fun with two people as it is with 6.  It’s easy to learn, making it accessible for players of all ages. The rounds are quick, keeping everyone engaged and on the edge of their seats.

The goal is to collect $1,000,000.  But beware because fortunes change hands quicker than you can blink! Each player starts building their asset stack with pairs of matching cards.  The cards have things like money, jewels, collections, and other valuable things like gold bars.  One player puts down a card and if they have the matching card in their hand, they put it down and can attempt to steal your top set of assets. If you have the matching card, you get to keep both of the assets.

It gets fun and exciting when the frenzy begins.  Imagine this, when the game is in full swing and the air is thick with anticipation. It’s your turn, and you’ve just laid down a brand new house, feeling pretty pleased with yourself.

But wait! Across the table, your friend’s eyes light up. They’re eyeing your house like a real estate agent in a hot market. The room tenses, as they play a matching house card– an attempt to snatch your shiny asset!  You decide you’re not giving up your house without a fight! Luckily, you have another house up your sleeve.

With a triumphant smile, you slap down another house card, effectively protecting your assets and doubling their value.

The table erupts with gasps and laughter and you collect all three of the houses played.

Remember these important things…. To keep the assets safe, you’ll need to have a matching card or a wild card(gold or silver bar). A successful defense can double your riches, but a failed one means your treasure trove gets swiped!
