Oh, my fellow game enthusiasts, I have some exciting news from the digital realms of gaming! I recently dove into the charming universe of Machi Koro for Everyone, which is slated to light up our screens on July 4, 2024. But here’s the scoop—you don’t have to wait until then to get a taste! Steam is currently offering a free tutorial preview, and let me tell you, it’s like a sneak peek into a board gamer’s dream.
Imagine the delightful city-building escapades of Machi Koro, but with the sleek ease of digital play. The tutorial does a splendid job of whisking you through the game mechanics, making it a breeze for both newcomers and seasoned city planners like us. It’s a wonderful blend of the familiar and the fresh, with all the strategic depth of Machi Koro 2 seamlessly integrated into a user-friendly interface.
As I clicked and built my way through the tutorial, I couldn’t help but marvel at how it captured the essence of the physical board game we’ve all come to adore. The anticipation for the full release is bubbling up within me—what new features will it bring? How will it expand on the beloved formula?
I am sharing photos of the game so you can see how close it matches the physical board game with captions. I hope you enjoy.

The preview has 3 players. As you can see, the artwork is very familiar.

Just like the board game, the first three rounds are dedicated to purchasing property with the 5 points you are given at the beginning of the game.

The game has nice features allowing you to preview cards and Fast Forward through play.

The goal is to be the first player to purchase 3 Landmarks.

Other features include a listing of how many points you would get for each number rolled. With Machi Koro 2, a player can choose to roll 1 or 2 dice.

I was the first player to purchase 3 Landmarks and won the game. Notice how sad my opponents were.

Another screenshot of my victory. I’m curious to hear from you as well! Have you ventured into the tutorial on Steam? What are your thoughts? Let’s gather around our virtual town square and share our experiences and hopes for Machi Koro for Everyone. Who knows, our discussions might just make the wait for its grand unveiling a tad more bearable!
