Timeline: Music and Cinema is a card game where you build a timeline with songs or films. One side of the card reveals the event or creation, while the other side, hidden from view, bears the year it graced the world. The stage is set with a single card placed in the center, its date revealed as the starting point of our journey through time. In my case, the starting card was St Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

We then take turns placing cards to the left (more recent) or to the left of the card(older). To place our cards along this growing timeline, guessing the correct chronological order of events. With each turn, we choose a card from our hand, ponder where it fits in the collection of known dates, and place it where we believe it belongs. The moment of truth comes when the card is flipped, revealing its date. Correct placements expand the timeline, while mistakes grant us new cards, prolonging our quest but enriching the journey with every turn.

The game waltzes on until one of has successfully placed all our cards, their knowledge of music and cinema history paving the way to victory. If you do not guess the correct placement in the timeline, then the card is moved to the correct place and the gamer selects another card. This makes it harder for them to go out first.
